Hampi - A Journey towards Ancient India Hampi was in my bucket list since a long time ago, I don't know why I waited so long to visit this place though the experience was super amazing.  Hampi use to be the capital of Vijaynagara Empire in the 14th century. Hampi is also known as the lost city considering the defeat of Vijaynagara empire.  The army of sultanate destroyed the city into ruins, which can still be found.  The Journey Though 2 days are sufficient to explore Hampi with a tight schedule but i will strongly recommend you to spare minimum of 3 days to explore this panoramic destination.  Hampi is divided into 2 parts, one is heritage side (popular for temples and pilgrimage) while other is located on opposite side of the Tungabhadra river (popular for Lord Hanumanji's birth place and pleasent Cafe's)  The Travel Guide You need an entire day to explore the Heritage side of the Hampi which starts from The Virupaksha (Main) Temple till The Vijaya Vittala Temple, this c

Mustang Valley, Nepal Mustang Valley derives its name from Tibetan word “fertile plain”.  Because of it's isolation and it's unique cultural heritage, the Nepalese government has restricted access to the area.  The valley is divided into 2 parts- Lower Mustang and Upper Mustang. The cost for trekking is considerably higher in Upper Mustang because trekkers must hire experienced guides. Only experienced trekkers are allowed to take on the barren and semi-arid regions of Upper Mustang. No one is allowed to trek alone.  Known for adventure, treks, and barren mountains this valley is located at Nepal-China (Formerly Tibet) border at an elevation of 13,200 feet. The valley remains cold and dry throughout the year, with snowfall in Upper Mustang in the winter months.  The ideal time to visit this area is June through September, and even then the temperatures can be quite chilly. December and January are the most freezing months. Visit to both Lower and Upper Mustang require prior per

This Valley is located at an elevation of 2452 meters from the sea level. Even though the valley is open year-round, the winter weather is quite cold and there's snow in January.  If you have trouble adapting to colder temperatures, it is best to visit during the summers.  The best thing about the Dzokou Valley is that it’s still unspoiled, as compared to the other parts of North or North Eastern India. Dzokou Valley receives the most  tourists during the very popular Hornbill festival which is held every year from the 1st till 10th of December in Nagaland. This is also a great time to visit the valley and experience the tribal culture.   How to reach the valley You may hire tourist taxi from Kohima till Dzokuo trek starting point which may
